Malay is the national language given Malaysia’s cultural diversity, it is not unusual for Malaysian to be more proficient in English and their culture’s language than in Malay. 2. Understanding cultural interaction Cultures have been meeting and mixing in Malaysia since the very beginning of its history. Malaysia’s cultural mosaic marked by many different cultures, but several in particular has had especially lasting influence on the country.
